Dr. Jack Pierce is a fellowship trained retina and vitreous specialist. He has practiced in Austin since 1986. He graduated from the Univeristy of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1981 and completed his ophthalmology residency in Lubbock. He performed a retina/vitreous fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania's Scheie Eye Institute.
Before Becomming a physician, Dr, Pierce was an electrical engineer. He and his wife, PJ, had two children when he entered medical school. They now have three grown children and three grandchildren. PJ is a published author.
Dr. Pierce's other passions include building furniture and timber frame construction. He also enjoys playing tennis and basketball.
